The Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID) signed an affiliation agreement with the Wimberly School of Religion (WSR) of Oklahoma City University. Professor Mark Davies, Dean of WSR, and Provost of Oikos, indicated that both institutions share common goals and have many collaboration opportunities. Orhan Kucukosman, IID representative, also stated that the affiliation will help create new forms of synergies between the two institutions and will play an important role in interfaith dialogue in Oklahoma in particular and in the U.S. in general.

Based on the Agreement:

The WSR and IID agree to co-organize educational activities including: special topic course offerings (upon faculty approval) and course modules promoting interfaith and intercultural dialogue, understanding of global peace and justice, graduate student scholarships, seminars, panels, lecture series, luncheons, conferences, dialogue and cultural exchange trips, visiting scholar/professor positions, and expansion of the Peace-Jam program.

Subject to applicable laws and University policies, WSR and IID will serve as partners in the development of grant applications.

IID will in good faith cooperate with WSR to allow researchers to observe, implement, and/or test scientific hypotheses and theories at, or through, IID.

The WSR will create opportunities for interaction with its faculty members and graduate students by the staff, researchers and officers associated with IID.
